Hoe word ik doktersassistente?
De opleiding tot doktersassistente kan worden gevolgd direct na de middelbare school of als omscholing op een later moment. Er zijn geen specifieke vakken vereist, maar een basis of affiniteit met gezondheid, wetenschap of biologie is nuttig.
De opleiding wordt aangeboden op mbo-niveau 4, deze opleiding duurt meestal 2 tot 3 jaar. Als het gaat om omscholing, kan een verkort traject worden gevolgd binnen 1 jaar tot 15 maanden.
Inhoud van de opleiding
Tijdens de opleiding leer je medische kennis, vaardigheden en technieken die nodig zijn om te werken als doktersassistente. Vervolgens komen de volgende vakken aan bod:
- Medische terminologie
- Anatomie
- Fysiologie
- Farmacologie
- Medische onderzoeken
- Communicatieve vaardigheden
Daarnaast leer je hoe je patiënten ontvangt, medische dossiers bijhoudt, laboratoriumtesten uitvoert, medicijnen verstrekt, EHBO verleent en administratieve taken uitvoert.
De opleiding bestaat uit zowel theoretisch als praktisch onderwijs. Tijdens je stages loop je stage in verschillende zorginstellingen, zoals een huisartsenpraktijk, ziekenhuis of polikliniek.
Na het behalen van de opleiding kan je als doktersassistent in de volgende zorginstellingen aan de slag:
- Huisartsenpraktijken
- Ziekenhuizen
- Poliklinieken
- Gezondheidscentra
- Medische klinieken
